Intangible Cities

Listening to Intangible Cities workshops involve urban and rural listening walks that engage all our senses, heightening our awareness towards the sound environments, and creating bonds amongst the environment, the community and ourselves. The proposed work is for individuals and groups. Listening reveals the bonds we have as a society, and I encourage groups to extract the essence of a place, fostering collaborations that engage them in common goals. These walks stemed from my experience with commuters in the development of the project Sounding Underground and from creative work with communities in urban and rural contexts.

This workshop has taken place in Veracruz – Mexico, Leicester – UK, Belo Horizonte – Brazil, and Barcelona – Spain.
